How to Correctly Report Your Watch Sales

Our online marketplace enables you to sell watches around the globe and around the clock. In accordance with our dealer guidelines, all sales initiated on Chrono24 are subject to reporting and fees – even if they were not fully processed via Chrono24. We charge a penalty fee for any sale that is not properly reported.Find out in this blog article which sales are reportable, how to report them correctly, and how to avoid fees.
Which sales do I have to report?
All sales initiated on Chrono24 are subject to reporting – even if the sale takes place outside our marketplace. You will find some examples of reportable sales below:
Sale completed in your online shop or physical location
The customer discovers the watch on Chrono24, but then buys it in your own online store or directly in your retail store.
Communication and Purchase Beyond Chrono24
The buyer first contacts you on Chrono24, but all further communication and the transaction itself take place elsewhere. Note: According to our dealer guidelines, it is not allowed to actively bypass Chrono24 for further communication in order to avoid a sales commission.
Trade-In Opportunity
Watches that you sell as part of a trade-in are subject to reporting and fees. If you accept a buyer's watch in payment for a sale, we calculate the sales commission based on the total sales price of the watch. A reduction of the commission is not possible in this case. Please take this into account in your calculation.
There is no need to report if you sell a watch directly via our platform. In this case, we will register the sale automatically. You can find more information on this in our "Dealer Guidelines."
Note: These three examples do not cover all possible cases. If you have any questions, please send an email to sales.correction@chrono24.com.
