Targeted Offers for Prospective Buyers

On Chrono24, more than 9 million watch enthusiasts browse over 500,000 listings every month. Purchases often begin with the Wishlist, where prospective buyers save several listings for comparison. The price is often the deciding factor. In response to your feedback, we have developed a new feature to help give you the edge: Personalized Offers.
What are Personalized Offers?
You can send a Personalized Offer to prospective buyers who have saved your watch on their Wishlist. You offer a discount and thus increase the chances of a sale. The offers have a limited duration and are only sent to interested users in the target countries you have selected.
What are the advantages of Personalized Offers?
Appeal to motivated potential buyers:
Reach users who have saved your watch on their Wishlist and already shown an interest in buying it.
Lower the price hurdle:
Nudge potential buyers who have hesitated because of the purchase price.
Targeted and direct:
Your offer is only visible to your prospective buyers – no public discount.
Sell older listings:
Set targeted incentives for watches that have been online for some time.
Flexible design:
Determine the start, total duration, and target group of your Personalized Offers – tailored to your goals.
In short: A targeted approach to interested buyers and a limited time frame encourage faster sales and more turnover.
How Personalized Offers Work
- You can select listings suitable for a Personalized Offer using the “Performance” filter.
- Under “Edit listings,” you will find the new menu item “Make offer.”
- From there, you can create a Personalized Offer – we will help guide you through the process.
- Another new feature is sorting according to the number of Wishlist entries.
- At present, you can only have one active offer per listing. Listings with an active Personalized Offer cannot be selected.
- You can see how many interested users there are in each country.
- Decide whether your offer should reach those interested in every country – or only a select few.
- Would you like to include countries that are not currently specified as destination countries? Simply adjust your target countries in your listing settings accordingly.
The offer price must be at least 2% below the current price and below the lowest advertised price in the last 30 days. The discount granted must be at least €100 (or the equivalent amount in another currency).
- We use the shipping costs from your listing settings in your Market Portal. These are added to your offer price.
- Taxes and other fees – if applicable – will be shown to the buyer according to your default settings when ordering.
- Specify the total duration of the offer.
- Your offer will be sent to interested users in intervals until the end of the term. Within the total term, each user has 4 days to accept the offer.
- The longer the total running time, the more potential customers you can reach – including potential customers who will save your watch on their Wishllist in the future. The offer ends at the time specified by you or upon acceptance of the offer.

How to Get the Most Out of Personalized Offers
- Optimal duration: Choose a total duration that is long enough to reach all interested users. With a longer overall term, you can also reach future potential buyers.
- Open communication: Create trust with a personal message.
- Expand your target countries: The larger the selection of countries, the more potential customers you will reach.
- Variety of offers: Many users have several watches on their Wishlist – perhaps several of yours. Create multiple offers to turn your prospects into buyers.
- Measure, learn, optimize: Use Personalized Offers to learn what works – and what doesn’t.
Questions and Answers
You can find the menu item “Make offer” under “Edit listings” for those listings eligible for a Personalized Offer. You can also select suitable listings directly via the “Performance” filter -> “Personalized Offer possible.”
You can only create Personalized Offers for immediately available watches over €500. You cannot create Personalized Offers for accessories.
You can create Personalized Offers for several listings at the same time. However, only one offer per listing is currently possible.
Yes, the offer price must be at least 2% below the current price and below the lowest advertised price in the last 30 days. The discount granted must also be at least €100 (or the equivalent amount in another currency).
Enter the offer price as usual – including or excluding taxes, depending on your listing settings. We will automatically add a note about potential taxes when an order is placed. We will add the shipping costs according to your listing settings and the destination country of the buyer.
Only interested users who have your watch saved on their Wishlist will receive your Personalized Offer. It is not public and only visible to this target group.
We automatically transfer the active target countries from your listing settings. However, you have the option of excluding individual countries. If you would like to expand the list of target countries – for example because interested users in countries you haven’t enabled have your watch on their Wishlist – simply adjust the target countries in your listing settings.
You determine the total duration of the offer. During this time, your offer will be sent to interested users in intervals. Each prospective buyer has 4 days to accept the Personalized Offer. The longer the total running time, the more potential customers you can reach – including potential customers who will save your watch on their Wishlist in the future. You cannot end Personalized Offers prematurely.
We send your Personalized Offer to interested users at intervals in order to minimize disappointment while maintaining interest.
- First phase: A maximum of 20 interested users will be notified. They have 4 days to accept the offer.
- After 2 days, the second phase begins: Up to 20 more interested prospective buyers are notified.
- Further potential buyers will be notified every 2 days until the total term (set by you) ends or someone accepts the offer and buys the watch.
The most recent interested users will be notified first. Users who add your listing to their Wishlist during the offer term will also be notified. Thus you can create a Personalized Offer even if a listing hasn’t been saved to any Wishlist yet.</id=”faq_versand”>
No, you cannot currently send Personalized Offers to specific users.
Interested users can contact you via Messenger if they have any questions.
As soon as an interested user enters their address details and orders the watch, it is automatically reserved. The offer ends as soon as the watch has been ordered.
The offer can only be accepted once, even if several watches are available.
If the watch is marked as sold or the listing is deleted, no other interested user can buy the watch. This prevents double sales.
In your Market Portal, you can see whether there is an active Personalized Offer for a watch. If you adjust the price before the end of the term, the Personalized Offer will be terminated. Interested users can then no longer accept the offer.
Yes, if an offer has expired, you can re-offer this watch. If the price is lower than it was previously, all interested users will be notified – including those who received your last offer. If not, only new interested users will receive the new Personalized Offer.
You cannot currently view detailed statistics for an active offer. Premature termination or editing (e.g., of the offer duration or price) is also not possible.
