New Reservation Process for Price Suggestions

Item only reserved after an offer has been accepted
No need to cancel reservations manually
No duplicate sales or unnecessary cancelations
More flexibility for you when creating offers
As announced, we’re optimizing a number of features in order to make luxury watch sales and purchases on Chrono24 more reliable.
The next thing on our list is updating the reservation status for price suggestions.
With this update, a watch will only be reserved after a customer has committed to buying it by placing an order. This will give you more flexibility and help avoid unnecessary cancelations.
What's changing?
You’ll still be able to send concurrent offers to multiple customers, but the item will no longer be automatically reserved at this point. That means you can continue to receive price suggestions and send counteroffers for a particular item. However, as soon as a potential buyer accepts your offer, all other offers for the same item will be automatically rescinded.
The item will therefore be reserved exclusively for the buyer who accepts your offer first. This means it’s no longer possible for another potential buyer to accept an offer for a watch when only one watch is available.
The new reservation process will prevent multiple customers from accepting offers for a single item at the same time and, consequently, eliminate duplicate sales. It will also no longer be necessary for you to cancel reservations manually.
What’s more: We’re also working on implementing a more binding purchase deadline, meaning the buyer must pay for the watch by a certain date or lose their reservation. That way, watches won’t be reserved for protracted periods of time without being paid for.
